    Chamber Stage

    The Chamber Stage “Rada Spasova” has 60 seats and is dedicated to productions with an intimate character that require a closer connection between performers and audience. It is a space designed for subtle acting, focused storytelling, and a more personal theatrical experience.

    This stage hosts performances that rely on nuance, proximity, and emotional depth, allowing the audience to engage directly with the actors and the themes of the production.

    Rada Spasova was a long-time director and actress at the Vasil Drumev Drama and Puppet Theatre, and the Chamber Stage proudly bears her name in recognition of her contribution to the artistic life of the theatre.

    Main Stage

    The Main Stage of the theatre offers 485 seats, arranged between the stalls and the balcony, and serves as the primary venue for large-scale theatrical productions. This is the space where the theatre’s most ambitious and visually striking performances come to life, as well as guest productions by renowned visiting companies.

    The stage allows for complex and impressive scenic solutions, accommodating rich scenography, large casts, and powerful visual impact. The Main Stage is also equipped with an orchestra pit that can be raised manually, providing additional flexibility for musical and dramatic performances.

    It is a space where the theatre meets its audience at full scale—a place for grand stories, strong emotions, and memorable theatrical experiences.

    Foyer “1300”

    Foyer “1300” is a cozy space within the theatre, often used for more interactive and creative events such as children’s workshops, literary readings, and exhibitions held as part of initiatives like the Drumev Theatre Festival. The “1300” Foyer has also been used for performances and other cultural activities.

    Antract

    Hall “Antract” is a modern 60-seat venue at the Drama and Puppet Theatre “Vasil Drumev,” often used for film screenings. It is part of initiatives such as “Cinema and Wine.” The hall was officially inaugurated on September 5, 2022, when it began operating as a cinema space within the theatre.

    The hall is also used for other events, including theatrical performances and stand-up comedy shows.

    Hall “Antract” hosts a wide range of formats — from screenings and concerts to theatre workshops and performances. It has become one of the theatre’s main creative spaces.

    Patilancho

    Since 2000, the Puppet and Drama Theater unite under one roof, giving rise to the "Patilantcho" Hall. The stage has 60 seats and hosts all of our puppet performances.

    The hall and the path to it are entirely painted in magical worlds.
